Thirty years of knowing what goes inside.
Before HOS, our work was footwear materials: the fabrics, coated materials and soles that shoes are built from. We did it for thirty years. It's the part of a shoe you rarely see and always feel.
HOS is what happened when we decided to build the whole pair ourselves.
Six steps. One House.

The material.
We make the fabrics and coated materials the upper is cut from. That means we choose how they look, how they bend and how they wear.

The foam.
The cushioning starts as EVA foam made in the House. How soft or springy it feels is our decision, made for each shoe.

The sole.
Soles are moulded in the House, so the tread, thickness and weight are built for the shoe they go on.

The upper.
Panels are cut and stitched into the upper: the part you see, and the part that holds your foot.

The build.
The upper is shaped, fitted to the sole and bonded. This is where a pile of parts becomes a pair.

The check.
Every pair is checked by hand before it goes in the box.
Why it matters to you.
You know what's inside.
Every product page lists the upper, lining, insole and sole. No guessing.
It's made as one shoe.
The foam, the sole and the upper come from the same House, so fit, cushioning and build are worked out together.
The price makes sense.
When you make your own materials, you don't pay someone else's markup on them. That saving stays in your price.
Come inside the House.
We're opening the doors, one step at a time. Our founder shares how shoes are really made — the materials, the machines, the mistakes and the fixes — on @wear.hos.
